Blue Goose Pure Foods is a company that distinguishes itself from others by farming premium organic and antibiotic free proteins, proudly raised in Canada. They often hold events around the city to help showcase some of their newest products. At one of their dinners recently, I was brought on as their event photographer and got to see what they are like behind the scenes.
When I arrived I noticed a long table set up with a beautifully designed setting. The menus for the night sat atop of napkins, held together with rough twine, knotted into a tag with the assigned seating names. The table had a rustic finish and fall decorations like leaves and acorns were adorned throughout.
The chef of the evening was Matt DeMille who runs a show called EAT w/ Matt DeMille and is a regular on tv talk shows. For this evening, he was hosting a group of influencers, foodies and writers taking them through a cooking class using the Blue Goose chickens.
There were roughly 10 people there for the class and dinner. The event was hosted at a kitchen retail store that rents out the space for events. These places are stocked! A lot of burners, pots, pans, cookware and a lot of space.
After the class, guests sat down, sipped some wine and dug into their freshly cooked meals. At this point the event photography was over and I wrapped up my night and headed home, with a recipe in hand of course.
