One of the first clubs I ever shot was The Addisons Residence at 456 Wellington, just west of Spadina in downtown Toronto. The designer, Lisa Ho Studio, asked if I would shoot the new space that was fashioned after a home, giving it the feel of a house party.
With book shelves, game rooms, TV screens and a DJ playing from ground level, the club definitely feels like a home, especially with the bartenders serving from behind their mock kitchen.
The walls have paintings in frames on them, plants are everywhere, which is a common theme, even with some of the wallpaper having palm prints.
The kitchen and dining room area is open concept with several doorways opening into the games room which features a hockey table as well as a foosball table and shuffleboard table.
The games room bar has plants and is well lit. The bar itself is dark stained wood panelled with a black marble top.
